LaunchVic Sharpens its Focus on First Hires, Helping Founders Build Strong Teams from the Outset.
LaunchVic today unveiled the latest cohort for its Basecamp program, a six-week initiative designed to support founders at a critical growth stage, when early hiring and leadership decisions can make or break a startup.
As part of the program, 17 Victorian startups will receive practical frameworks, tools, and specialised coaching to align hiring with business strategy, reduce retention risk, and build teams that can operate without constant founder oversight.
Among them is Space CoLAB, a deep tech company developing next-generation secure communications infrastructure in response to the accelerating threat posed by quantum computing.
Co-founders Carley Scott and Amrit Bagia bring experience spanning space infrastructure and national security. Their core product, HaloCore, combines hardware and software to enable secure data transmission using laser and diamond-based quantum technology — an approach that moves beyond reliance on traditional encryption methods.
We recently sat down with the Space CoLAB founders, read more about them here.
From health technology that is improving early detection of conditions like endometriosis, to digital technology redefining how action sports are captured, we’re proud to help this cohort navigate its next stage of growth.
