LaunchVic has opened applications for its 2026 Basecamp program, designed to support founders at a critical growth stage—when early hiring and leadership decisions can make or break a startup.

Launched in 2025, Basecamp gives founders practical frameworks, tools, and coaching to align hiring with business strategy, reduce retention risk, and build teams that can operate without constant founder oversight.

The program runs across seven in-person days between April and June 2026, combining executive coaching, peer learning, and applied work tailored to each founder’s company context.

Last year’s graduates have already made more than 30 operational and executive hires, clarified leadership structures, and accelerated progress toward growth and capital-raising milestones.

One example is Chris Borzillo, CEO of Calcs.com, an engineering tool supporting more than 60,000 building projects annually, mostly in residential housing.

“The Basecamp program gave us a structured approach to thinking about our organisational strategy, where we need to win, and what people and processes we need to do so. We’ve made some tweaks to our approach based on this we’re already seeing dividends from,” Chris said.

“We’ve already brought on four great new teammates since the program and we’re excited to be hiring for another eight following the same guidance and lessons learned.”

Applications for the 2026 Basecamp program close Tuesday, 10 March 2026 at 1:00pm. For more information, and how to apply, visit our Basecamp page.
