Join the CivVic Labs EnergyTech Challenge Announcements Last Updated: Thursday 15 May Expressions of Interest are now open for the CivVic Labs EnergyTech Challenge, an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to test their startup idea. In partnership with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), LaunchVic is calling on innovators to tackle the challenge: How can we use technology to accelerate the transition to renewable energy? Up to 16 startups will be selected to take part in a 12-week bootcamp, supported by $10,000 equity free funding and expert guidance. At the end of the program, four standout teams will receive an additional $35,000 to bring their prototypes to life. About the Challenge Expressions of interest are now open under one of two challenge streams: Powering the Grid of the Future: Solutions that rethink how we generate, store, and distribute energy — from grid infrastructure to workforce innovation. Empowering People and Communities: Tech that helps households, small businesses and communities adopt and manage renewable energy, especially addressing financial or behavioural barriers.
