LaunchVic Media Statement: 500 Startups Announcements Last Updated: Saturday, 1 July 2017 LaunchVic has zero tolerance for sexual harassment and is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion. LaunchVic strongly condemns the incidence of harassment in the tech sector as reported in the New York Times. LaunchVic is disappointed it was not made aware of the matter relating to 500 Startups co-founder Dave McClure. We acknowledge the courage of the women who have spoken out about this issue. We are acutely aware of the lack of diversity and the issues underrepresented groups including women face in the startup ecosystem globally and locally. We are working hard to improve this and it is why we have invested in groups like Girl Geek Academy and Bright Sparks. We have sought a response from 500 Startups as a matter of urgency. -ENDS-
